Bedfordshire Invertebrate Group (BIG) is one of several special interest groups within the Bedfordshire Natural History Society (BNHS). We visit sites around Bedfordshire to record observations of invertebrates. We volunteer our time and expertise for the benefit of nature conservation.
Typically, we visit sites between April and October. Responding to requests from landowners we are able to access private land and land owned or managed by local authorities, the Ministry of Defence, Natural England, conservation charities and corporations.
We respond to requests from land owners and managers as they arise by putting our members in contact with the enquirer. We welcome any entomologists keen to help record invertebrates regardless of skill level. If you would like to be added to our email list for to be notified of any visit dates please use the contact form below. Attendees are responsible for their own health and safety on any visit and must adhere to any rules or advice given by the site manager.
